Commercials

It has been a week since our last confession, and like always there is much to divulge. First off, we have been tasked by Rough Guides and Osprey Packs to shoot commercials that will be aired on the Venture Channel and released on social media. I have been working diligently with the production crew facilitating all this and coming up with fun and entertaining ways to capture how amazing these products are. So be on the lookout over the next few months, as you will see my ugly mug in a few commercial spots.

Upcoming Shoots

I have received a lot of Facebook messages, phone calls, and emails asking us when we are planning to film another episode. Yes, it has been a while since our last shoot in Namibia, and believe me the crew and I are getting very itchy for another adventure as well. We had to scale back and turn down a few trips, as our primary focus was to lock down distribution deals for our current 7 episodes. Now that those distribution deals are finally in play, we are looking at scratching that itch in the next few months. SO BE READY!

It has been a while since our last update, but it's only because we have been working like ants to get The Hostel Life distributed.

The Hostel Life has finalized the deal with Venture Channel to broadcast the show on Roku. Venture Channel was started by former Travel Channel and Discovery Channel employees, as they felt that their channels were getting away from the core of what those channels originally represented. So if you don’t have a Roku box yet, run out and pick one up at Best Buy or online. For our international viewers, don’t you fret, soon you will be able to stream our shows online and potentially on demand. The programming schedule is still being sorted out by all involved parties, but once we know the set schedule we will most definitely let our fans know which days to tune in to watch the latest The Hostel Life episode.

Finally, we are talking with Leverage Latino to help distribute the shows throughout Latin American markets. Leverage Latino was started by a former executive from Free Mantle Media (Production Company behind American/Pop Idol) and his partner who use to help distribute the Telenovelas (Latin soap operas) all over the world. So if this deal goes through, The Hostel Life would be broadcasted in different Latin American countries and regions as well. Looks like I will have to brush up on my Spanish, but in the meantime I am thankful for subtitles!
